So you want to improve your government and community through technology? That’s great! We meet in-person and virtually to organize project-based work. To join us in person head over to our Meetup. To join us virtually head over to our Slack channel. There are no requirements to join our Brigade, but we do have a Code of Conduct.
It takes all kinds of talent, skills, and know-how to make Code for Hampton Road projects. Even if you aren’t a ‘coder’ – we can still use your help. We also need designers, project managers, and good communicators. If you’re not sure how you can help just yet, first meet the team and learn more about our projects.
It takes a core team of leaders to make Code for Hampton Roads effective.
We strive for diversity in our core team. (And we’re not always good at maintaining it.) We explicitly invite diversity of ethnicity, gender identity, and physical ability to our leadership team. Your most important qualities are humble leadership and an ability to get things done.
